Welcome to Faith, Hope, Love, and Dumpster Fires! I am Quincy, and I am the creator. I am a Southerner, born and raised and still living in North Carolina. I’ve been married to my college sweetheart for 23 years, and we have 2 amazing teenagers. My background is in marketing and print, but my heart skips a beat for home decor and gardening. My husband is a handy-dandy carpenter, so we spend our free time working on projects at our home. I love a good before and after!
My kiddos – I couldn’t ask for better little humans. They really are wonderful, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them!
I’m an introvert (so blogging is perfect for me), I avoid confrontation, and I don’t handle change well (who does though?). I’m a helper, creative, goofy, and ridiculously organized, I speak sarcasm fluently and enjoy breaking out into song whenever possible to get a reaction from my kids (they are still at the age that they laugh). I don’t drink coffee (or any hot drinks), love Chick-fil-A sweet tea (large, with extra ice), I do my best cleaning when I am mad, I talk to my mom several times every day, and I pick all the good stuff from the ice cream container before anyone else can get it (I have mastered the removal of the chocolate ribbon from Extreme Moose Tracks. It’s a gift).
I’m a believer in the power of prayer, laughter, and love. Each has gotten me through so much in my life, especially since being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in early 2022. Well, those plus a fantastic neurologist, psychiatrist, physical therapist, and gastroenterologist. Not to mention, an incredible family. It takes a village, and I’ve been blessed with a great one.
